What You Can Expect

The Project Manager Preconstruction (PM) Senior Advisor is responsible for managing the design, construction and commissioning of a utility scale renewable projects throughout the US.  This includes overseeing the execution of multiple engineering, construction, and procurement contracts, working closely with internal, external partners, and subcontractors, to ensure project design integrity.  The PM Sr Advisor collaborates with the on-site Construction Monitoring team to manage and monitor the work, while also providing training and mentorship to assigned team members.  As the team expands, this role may evolve to include accountability for a portfolio of projects.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide project management, coordination and support for large and complex wind, solar, and storage projects during the pre-construction phase  
  • Liaise with project development teams to support to ensure early engagement and smooth transition into the delivery phase
  • Oversee and provide direction and coordination for engineering design, permitting, and preconstruction activities including site studies, surveys, preliminary engineering, and estimating
  • Manage RFP processes and commercial aspects of engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services and major equipment procurement, including project contract negotiations for supply agreements and BOP-EPC contracts
  • Identify and mitigate critical path issues and risks, maintaining the project risk register and ensuring schedules and costs track to plan
  • Resolve and direct technical and specialist issues during the bid phase and provide feedback on major equipment (modules, wind turbines, batteries, and substation) procurement processes
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal teams, external partners, and subcontractors while mentoring assigned team members
  • Develop and maintain departmental guides, standards, and processes to support continuous improvement and department efforts

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related technical field 
  • Minimum of ten years of Project Management experience of onsite construction grid scale renewable projects (Wind, Solar, Battery) or complex construction projects
  • Effective leadership, problem solving, and adaptability in dynamic, ever-changing environments
  • Excellent Oral and Written Communication Skills with a collaborative approach to getting work done
  • Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Construction Processes, Sequencing, and hands-on experience with tools and equipment
  • PMP certification is strongly preferred, but not required

 

Additional Details

  • This role is in Broomfield; CO, with a hybrid in-office schedule; remote work is not available
  • Must be available to travel domestically and internationally up to 30% of the time by airplane and car
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record for the use of company or rental vehicles, with ability to drive to offsite meetings and or site locations
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
  • Must be physically able to conduct site visits and walk renewable energy sites for extended periods of time in hot or cold weather conditions to complete job assignments

 

Compensation

Salary Range: $135,000 – $200,000 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

 

ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors. 

 

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
