The MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Project Engineer in Fitout/Construction will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of MEP systems within construction and fit-out projects. This role requires managing project timelines, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and delivering quality installations in line with the project specifications. Project Planning & Coordination:

- Develop detailed project plans, and schedules for MEP & Civil works.
- Coordinate with architects, contractors and other stakeholders to integrate MEP designs with overall project plans.
- Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and other documentation
- Execution & Supervision:
- Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection systems.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and UAE regulations.
- Supervise and manage subcontractors and site workers, ensuring adherence to project plans and safety protocols.
- Quality Assurance & Control:
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality and compliance with project specifications.
- Identify and resolve issues related to MEP installations & Civil, providing technical guidance as needed.
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, weekly MOM, including reports on project progress.
- Health & Safety Compliance:
- Implement and enforce safety standards and practices on site, ensuring all activities comply with relevant health and safety regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for potential hazards related to MEP installations.
- Client & Stakeholder Communication:
- Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, consultants, and other project stakeholders.
- Provide regular updates on project status, addressing any concerns or issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical, Preferably Electrical
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in MEP project engineering, specifically within the fitout or construction industry.
- Proven track record of managing MEP & Civil installations in commercial, residential, or industrial fitout projects.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of MEP systems and their integration within construction/fit-out projects.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project).
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations in UAE
