Your Mission
As a Project Engineer will be responsible for managing the technical execution, planning, and coordination of engineering projects from conception to completion, typically within power generation or related energy infrastructure facilities. This role involves ensuring designs are safe and compliant with industry standards, managing budgets and schedules, and providing technical support to a variety of projects in the Netherlands. In your role you will supported by the Engineering Manager.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical engineering support and consultancy services to clients throughout all phases of project delivery.
- Review and coordinate technical deliverables, including design reports, calculations, specifications, drawings, and analysis reports, ensuring quality, accuracy, and compliance with project requirements.
- Prepare and contribute to the development of engineering deliverables such as technical specifications, design documentation, testing procedures, commissioning plans, and technical reports.
- Liaise with internal technical disciplines and Competence Centres to obtain project data, resolve engineering challenges, and ensure effective technical integration across the project.
- Lead and participate in technical and project meetings with clients, partners, suppliers, and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Maintain and enhance professional knowledge through participation in company-specific and industry training programmes.
- Manage engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle, including scope definition, planning, budgeting, scheduling, and progress monitoring.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks, resolve technical issues, and ensure successful project execution and delivery.
- Support project managers in achieving project objectives related to quality, cost, schedule, and safety performance.
- Ensure engineering solutions are delivered in accordance with applicable standards, regulations, and client requirements.
We would love to hear from people with
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering from an accredited university or equivalent institution.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in the nuclear industry or other highly regulated sectors such as oil & gas, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, aerospace, or energy.
- Broad understanding of engineering principles, technical processes, and project delivery methodologies.
- Experience working within regulated environments, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and industry standards.
- Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while delivering high-quality results within tight project constraints.
- Fluent in English and Dutch, or willing to learn Dutch within a short timeframe. Additional European languages are considered an asset.
- Willingness to travel internationally for short-term project assignments.
