Your mission
As a Junior Project Engineer within Tractebel’s Onshore RES/BESS team, you contribute every day to our mission to engineer a carbon‑neutral future. You work on onshore wind, solar PV and BESS projects in Belgium throughout their development phases, from pre‑feasibility to permitting and commissioning, by performing technical assessments, supporting design choices and contributing to robust and high-quality project development.

Your key responsibilities
You deliver engineering and consulting services during the development of renewable energy and BESS projects in Belgium. Your main duties include:
- Evaluate the most appropriate technical solutions;
- Technico-economic optimization of the projects;
- Prefeasibility studies, Feasibility studies, Permit requests;
- Support the development of the projects, provide technical advice;
- You can detect potential risks for the projects and propose mitigation measures;
- You take part in the development of the team (expertise, innovation, automation);
- You take care of the contact with the Client and the project contractors.
Your Profile
- You have a Master's degree in Engineering (civil or industrial) or equivalent through experience;
- You are native proficiency in French or Dutch and you are fluent in English;
- You have technical background in development and realisation of wind/solar/BESS power projects;
- Programming skills (python or visual basic) is an asset;
- Knowledge of simulation software (like WindPro, WAsP, SolarGis) or of GIS software (like QGIS, Arcgis) is an asset.
