The Renewables & Flexible Power Global Business Unit (RF-GBU) is a key driver of ENGIE’s transition toward clean and resilient energy systems. Our portfolio includes Solar (9 GW), Onshore Wind (16 GW), Offshore Wind (2 GW), Hydro (17.7 GW), Storage (6 GW), and Thermal Generation (51 GW).

Our ambition: Reach 95 GW of Renewables and BESS by 2030, largely driven by Wind, Solar, and Battery Storage.

Role Summary

As Contract Manager, you will play a hands-on and pragmatic role within the industrial platform. You will support ENGIE’s renewable energy projects throughout their full lifecycle—providing operational contract management expertise and helping harmonize practices across global teams. Your support will be essential from development through to project closeout.

You will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams across the GBU and help build ENGIE’s contract management culture through training, guidance, and tool development.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Support & Project Execution

• Provide practical contract management support across the full project lifecycle (development to closeout)

• Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts; support on claims and change orders

• Help ensure obligations, risks, and opportunities are actively tracked and managed

Project Reviews & Gap Analysis

• Participate in project reviews to challenge risk allocation and ensure compliance with RF-GBU standards

• Analyze existing contracts and compare with RF-GBU principles to identify gaps, best practices, and opportunities for harmonization

Training & Culture Building

• Co-develop and deliver a Contract Management Training Plan for RF-GBU teams

• Animate training sessions and promote a contract-aware culture across project teams

Methodology & Tools

• Contribute to the development and maintenance of transversal contract management tools (e.g., quick guides, dashboards, MCVs)

• Support continuous improvement of internal contract management processes and templates

Interfaces

You will be part of the Project & Industrialisation team and will interact closely with:

• Internal stakeholders: business development, procurement, engineering, legal, HSE, etc.

• Geographies: both central and local teams across countries where RF-GBU operates

Profile

Education & Experience

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in contract management for large-scale energy projects

• Strong background in the energy sector, preferably renewables

• Advanced proficiency in Excel; strong digital skills are a plus

• Clear communicator with the ability to synthesize complex information

• Strong organizational and prioritization skills; able to manage multiple priorities

• Committed to deadlines, quality, and internal process standards

Languages

• Fluent in English (written and spoken)

• Other languages (French, Spanish, Portuguese, etc.) are an asset

Travel Requirements

• Willing and able to travel frequently with variable durations depending on project needs
