Transmission Line Electrician II

We are looking for a Transmission Line Electrician II to perform maintenance, inspection, and repair activities on electric power transmission lines, following pre-established operational and safety standards. This role includes executing predictive maintenance plans and responding to corrective actions as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Perform electrical maintenance services according to technical guidance, respond to predictive or corrective work requests to restore operations, and follow instructions from the technical team in your area.
• Correct faults and perform minor repairs when necessary, as identified during ground and aerial inspections of the Company’s assets.
• Accurately complete physical forms and reports regarding field activities and equipment conditions.
• Follow the defined and assigned work plan according to service and repair orders, recording all interventions.
• Measure ground resistance and grounding, check cables and spheres, vegetation, and safety distances. Install transformers, electrical and metallic protections, pressure shut-off valves, electrical cables, and other materials and accessories as needed.
• Contribute to the availability, reliability, conservation, and proper functioning of equipment through preventive and corrective maintenance, testing, and participation in the commissioning of new systems.
• Operate within well-defined internal procedures, documenting any difficulties or non-compliance.

Mandatory Requirements:

• High school diploma + vocational training in the field.
• Intermediate knowledge of equipment and systems in installations.
• Intermediate ability to read and interpret technical drawings and flowcharts.
• Intermediate understanding of transmission processes and associated equipment and systems.
• Basic knowledge of general maintenance procedures, plans, methods, and techniques.
• Basic knowledge of operational procedures.
• Basic computer skills: word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, internet, and email.
• Basic understanding of administrative processes and routines in the area of expertise.

Desirable Attributes:

• Technical degree in Electrotechnics, Electromechanics, or related fields.
• Experience with Live Line Maintenance (Distance and Potential Techniques).
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Valid Category B driver’s license.
