Operator – Operations Center Shift II
We are looking for an Operations Center (Shift) Operator II to operate power generation and transmission assets in accordance with established procedures, standards, and work instructions. This role involves performing remote operation maneuvers of systems and equipment, liaising with the National Electric System Operator (ONS), and coordinating with Generation, Transmission, and Distribution companies. The goal is to maintain the integrity, availability, and reliability of remotely operated assets while ensuring the safety of people, the environment, and surrounding communities.

Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the operational safety, efficiency, and availability of remotely operated assets under normal and emergency conditions, following remote operation procedures and work instructions. This includes real-time monitoring and control of equipment and operational variables, system restoration, maintenance, operational inspections, scheduling interventions, and mitigating Variable Portion (PV) incidents, among others.
- Continue routine technical activities of the Pre-Operation sector regarding network procedures after ONS-regulated hours, scheduling interventions in systemic equipment, and issuing external documentation related to the regulatory agent for rescheduling and/or cancellations.
- Remotely perform hydraulic operation maneuvers of reservoirs under normal or emergency conditions, based on hydrological calculations, reservoir operation manuals, guidance from ONS, and other company departments, strictly following safety and environmental standards upstream and downstream of hydroelectric plant structures to prevent incidents.
- Understand and apply ONS network procedures, execute the Consolidated Daily Operation Program, conduct operational communication with ONS and assets of the National Interconnected System (SIN), and support real-time issuance, receipt, printing, and execution of documentation related to interventions in systemic equipment.
- Record operational data and information in specific systems, contributing to the generation of reports and management analyses.
- Communicate, when necessary, with ONS, and with generation, transmission, and distribution agents, as well as with company assets.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Knowledge of remote equipment and systems – Intermediate.
- Reading and interpretation of technical drawings and flowcharts – Advanced.
- Systemic pre- and post-operation activities and interfaces – Intermediate.
- Procedures and processes related to plant operation and dispatch – Intermediate.
- Computer skills: word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, internet, email.
- Communication skills – Intermediate.
- Network procedures – Intermediate.
- Operational agreements and contracts with other agents – Basic.
- Operational communication techniques and standards – Intermediate.
- Technical education in Power Generation, Electrotechnics, Electromechanics, Electronics, Mechanics, or related fields – with active CFT registration.
