3. JOB PURPOSE |
|
The Operations Technology (OT) Technical Manager’s role is to support teams responsible for the resilience and compliance of operational technology (OT) systems at various industrial sites including power plants, solar, wind, and battery storage facilities. The role requires expertise in OT systems such as Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Industrial Control Systems (ICS), Distributed Control Systems (DCS), as well as their communication protocols .

Team Responsibilities
Team Focus and Cybersecurity Framework The OT/ICS Technical Team works to identify vulnerabilities and assess risks to maintain and review the security posture and vulnerabilities of industrial control systems. Their efforts are guided by the Group's OT Framework implemented across ENGIE South Africa sites. Compliance and risk identification are achieved through assessments and audits based on standards such as NIST, NERC, ISA/IEC 62443, ISO 27001, and ISO 27002 .
