What You Can Expect
As our Site Administrator II, you will provide administrative support for the Atlantic-Canadian sites and will sit in the ENGIE West Cape office. Your responsibilities encompass a wide range of tasks crucial to maintaining smooth day-to-day operations. This includes assisting management with public and employee relations by facilitating and maintaining communications at the required levels and serving as a member of the local safety committee. You will collect, review and analyze data to prepare reports, charts, budgets and other presentation materials, as well as maintaining routine plant operating logs and reports utilizing Excel.
- You will be responsible for responding to route routine inquiries from external or internal sources with standard correspondence or other messaging.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams such as asset management, compliance, human resources, and legal departments, you will ensure communication and status updates are received in a timely manner to meet deadlines.
- Establish and maintain general administrative activities, including accounts payable, timesheets, and recordkeeping, managing purchase requisitions and orders, overseeing budgets and vendor relationships, and maintaining important documents, logs, plans, and reports.
- Other administrative duties include maintaining, updating and retrieving files, forms, inventories, logs, and other documents, receives sorts, and distributes mail and maintaining the general office area.
What You’ll Bring
- Minimum education requires a High School diploma with three (3) years’ experience where you have worked with vendor management, accounting, procurement, supply chain, or human resources in an administrative support capacity
- Must be able to use Outlook, Word, and Excel daily to analyze, communicate, distribute and report data to leadership and external partners
- You must have knowledge of administrative and secretarial functions including typing, computer skills, scheduling, communicating correspondence via emails, and utilize telecommunication software and equipment such as MS Teams, fax machines, and printers
- You must have experience creating reports on a scheduled basis
Additional Details
- This role requires daily attendance at the ENGIE West Cape office
- Must be available to travel domestically up to 10% of the time and with the need for some overnight trips to attend company events and training in one (1) week increments
- Must possess a valid driver’s license/clean driving record to drive company vehicle or to drive personal vehicle for company events.
- Must be willing and able to comply with ENGIE’s policy with respect to COVID vaccination and testing
- Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
- The position consists of 90% work indoors and 10% work outdoors; outdoor work may expose the employee to weather conditions
Compensation
Salary Range: $30.00 – $38.00 CAD hourly
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
