At ENGIE, we're committed to accelerating the transition towards a carbon-neutral world. As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician for our gas handling assets in Cheshire, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our Stublach site.

Summary of what you will do

  • Contribute to the safe operation of gas handling assets, protecting personnel and the environment
  • Perform maintenance activities and oversee specialist contractors
  • Prepare mechanical isolations and associated documentation for plant and equipment maintenance
  • Participate in the Emergency Response Team during site incidents
  • Investigate operational issues and implement corrective actions
  • Conduct routine testing and inspections of operational equipment
  • Lead projects and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

 

What you will bring to the role

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in operations/maintenance of processing plants, preferably in the oil/gas/chemical/COMAH industry
  • Recognized time-served or modern apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent vocational/technical diploma in a related field
  • Strong mechanical technical knowledge and hands-on maintenance experience
  • Ability to work autonomously and take initiative in problem-solving
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with colleagues and external stakeholders
  • Commitment to safety and willingness to participate in on-call rotations
  • Residence within 30 minutes travel time from the Stublach Site to comply with the on call requirements of the role
