Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a Project Manager to join our Milan office (Via Chiese 72), within the Global Business Unit Flex Power & Renewables - Renewables & Batteries.

The Global Business Unit Renewables & Batteries is responsible for the design, construction and operation of renewable energy assets, including wind, photovoltaic, agrivoltaic plants and battery energy storage systems. Our ambition is to double installed renewable capacity to 1.6 GW by 2030, contributing significantly to ENGIE’s energy transition goals.

 

What will you do?

As a Project Manager, you will join the Project Management & Construction team, reporting to the Head of Project Management Wind & BESS.

Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you will lead projects through all phases - from pre‑FID to execution, close‑out and handover to the O&M team - ensuring active control of scope, schedule, budget and contractual aspects.

 

What will you be in charge of?

You will be responsible for the planning, execution and delivery of multiple utility-scale wind and/or BESS projects ensuring they are completed safely,  on time, within budget, and in full compliance with ENGIE’s standards.

You will take full accountability of the assigned projects, leading both project and contract management activities to successful delivery.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering projects in line with ENGIE’s standards and ambitions, ensuring excellence in cost, schedule, ethics, quality and health & safety
  • Contributing to the definition of project budgets and execution plans, while actively monitoring performance throughout the project lifecycle
  • Supporting the selection, coordination and management of suppliers and contractors
  • Acting as the driving force of the project team, aligning stakeholders and resources to ensure effective and timely delivery
  • Assuming full responsibility for Health & Safety on project sites during the delivery phase, ensuring strict compliance with applicable regulations
  • Monitoring project progress, risks and interfaces, proactively addressing issues and deviations
  • Contributing to ENGIE’s continuous improvement culture by sharing lessons learned and best practices
  • Building and maintaining strong, trust‑based relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to enable seamless project execution

Competencies

  • Engineering degree or equivalent professional experience in wind energy sector
  • Experience in contracting and construction of wind farms
  • Strong technical background in renewable energy projects
  • Decision-making capability & sense of responsibility
  • Team-oriented mindset with a high level of autonomy
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel
  • Proactive, organized with a solution-driven approach
  • Fluency in English and Italian languages is mandatory

 

Additionals

  • Knowledge of wider energy sector including BESS, PV, DSO/TSO environment
  • Solid understanding of construction topics and site activities
  • At least 2 years of experience in an international project environment, including project management responsibilities
