Who are we looking for?
A dynamic and analytical Energy Pricing Manager to be placed in our Milan office as part of the Global Business Unit "Supply & Energy Management".
What will you do?
You will report to the Head of Energy Management & Data and your mission will be developing and implementing pricing strategies that optimize profitability, enhance market competitiveness, and support the company's growth objectives. The successful candidate will lead a team in analyzing market trends, managing pricing models, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business goals. This position requires a blend of strategic thinking, technical expertise, and strong communication skills to drive effective pricing decisions in a rapidly evolving energy market.
What will you be in charge of?
Pricing Strategy Development
- Develop and implement pricing strategies for energy products and services to maximize profitability and market share.
- Analyze market trends, competitor pricing, and customer demand to inform pricing decisions.
- Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing teams to align pricing strategies with commercial objectives and promotional activities.
Pricing Model Management
- Maintain and update pricing models to reflect changes in market conditions and business requirements.
- Utilize advanced analytical tools and techniques to optimize pricing models and forecast revenue impacts.
- Perform regular reviews of pricing models to ensure accuracy and relevance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with the Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Experience teams to ensure pricing strategies are integrated into broader business plans.
- Coordinate with the Risk Management team to assess and mitigate pricing-related risks.
- Partner with the IT and Data teams to leverage data management and analytics platforms for pricing optimization.
Leadership and Documentation
- Lead and mentor a team of pricing analysts, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of pricing strategies, models, and processes to ensure transparency and scalability.
- Act as the primary point of contact for pricing-related inquiries and stakeholder management.
Market Analysis and Reporting
- Conduct detailed market analysis to identify pricing opportunities and threats.
- Prepare regular reports on pricing performance, market trends, and competitive landscape.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders
What will you bring to ENGIE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications is a plus.
- Min. 2/3 years of experience in pricing management, financial analysis, or a similar role within the energy sector.
- Proficiency in data management and analytics tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, SQL) and experience with pricing software and modeling techniques.
- Analytical Skills: Proven ability to perform complex data analysis and develop actionable insights.
- Leadership: Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional teams and projects.
- Communication: Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to present complex information clearly.
- Market Knowledge: Understanding of energy market dynamics and pricing strategies.
Preferred:
- Solid proven experience in the B2C energy sector and familiarity with digital transformation of commercial processes.
- Knowledge of European energy markets (FR, BE, NL) and regulatory frameworks.
- Fluency in additional languages (e.g., French, Dutch) is an advantage
