About the Role
We’re seeking a Metering & Market Operations Analyst to support the delivery of metering, market and network operations for B2B customers. This role is critical in ensuring accurate and timely execution of market transactions, maintaining data integrity, and supporting efficient billing outcomes. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, metering partners and network providers to resolve issues, improve processes and drive operational excellence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage end-to-end metering, network and market operations, including transfers, connections, abolishment’s, service orders and meter changes.
- Maintain accurate standing data, meter configurations, tariffs and market transaction records to support billing and compliance.
- Own and manage shared mailboxes and communications, ensuring requests, updates and exceptions are triaged and resolved within required timeframes.
- Monitor data quality, metering performance and operational exceptions, coordinating investigations and escalations as needed.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and external market participants to resolve issues and improve operational outcomes.
- Identify and support process improvements, system enhancements and automation initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce cost to serve.
About You
You are a detail-oriented and analytical professional with experience in energy market or metering operations. You bring strong problem-solving capability and can confidently manage competing priorities in a complex operational environment.
- Experience in metering, market operations, network operations or a similar role within the Australian energy sector.
- Knowledge of National Electricity Market procedures, B2B transactions, metrology requirements and billing dependencies.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to investigate data issues, identify root causes and deliver practical solutions.
- Experience managing operational issues, exceptions and escalations in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to support process improvement, system enhancements or automation initiatives.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across internal teams and external partners.
