Attached to the WATER Department and based on the construction site in Lob’s Hole within the DJV (Design Joint Venture) team responsible for designing the Snowy 2.0 Project the mission involves overseeing the design changes related to ongoing excavation works for the 2200 MW underground hydroelectric PSP

 

Your mission 

 

The mission essentially consists of supporting the DJV resident team, with particular focus on geotechnical and monitoring aspects of the application of the observational method

 

Your key responsibilitie

 

The activities include :
•    Participation in the development of a monitoring follow-up tool for the PSC, ensuring proper implementation of the design (timely installation of monitoring sections, measurement frequency)
•    Analysis of monitoring data essential for applying the observational method in the caverns
•    Regular inspection visits to the site with a focus on monitoring section inspections
•    Contribution to the drafting and issuance of analytical deliverables related to the observational method
•    Participation in Geotechnical Monitoring (GM) and Permit to Tunnel (PTT) meetings
•    Assistance with and consolidation of record-keeping as needed (geotechnical parameter tracking documents, correspondence logs, etc.)
•    Contribution to resolving technical issues arising on site
•    Collaboration with the Head Office team for model updates and back-analysis by providing monitoring input data
•    Participation in fostering the life and cohesion of the resident site team
•    Contributing to the monthly activity report.

 

  

Who you are

 

You are graduated with a master's degree in Engineering with a specialization in geotechnics, monitoring and/or underground works.
