Are you passionate about renewable energy and ready to take the lead in coordinating the operations of a utility-scale solar farm? ENGIE is seeking a proactive and organised Solar Farm Coordinator to join our team at the Goorambat East Solar Farm near Benalla, Victoria.

This onsite role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment, enjoys working with contractors and technical teams, and is committed to safety, sustainability, and community engagement.

 

About the Role

As the Solar Farm Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operations, maintenance coordination, and performance optimisation of the solar farm. You’ll work closely with service providers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure the site runs safely, efficiently, and in alignment with ENGIE’s sustainability goals.

 

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Maintenance

  • Coordinate daily site activities and liaise with O&M and OEM service providers.
  • Oversee non-electrical maintenance including vegetation management and inspections.
  • Monitor asset performance and escalate issues as needed.

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure site activities meet safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
  • Support emergency response drills, incident reporting, and permit-to-work systems.
  • Act as a point of contact for inspections and audits (WorkSafe, EPA, CFA, ESV).

Performance & Reporting

  • Track operational KPIs and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Analyse data to support performance optimisation and reporting.
  • Maintain site documentation including maintenance records and contractor logs.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build positive relationships with local communities and support sustainability initiatives.
  • Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and government agencies.

Innovation & Improvement

  • Identify opportunities for operational enhancements and trial new technologies.
  • Facilitate Tool Box Talks focused on safety and efficiency.

 

About you

  • A diploma or equivalent qualification in engineering, technical, or project coordination disciplines.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems (HV/LV), solar PV technologies, and asset management.
  • Experience in site coordination, contractor management, and compliance monitoring.
  • Familiarity with SCADA systems, energy monitoring platforms, and lean practices (e.g., 5S).
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with a proactive approach to leadership
