About the Role
We're looking for a Senior Cost Controller to support the successful delivery of a growing portfolio of wind, battery energy storage (BESS) and solar projects. You'll play a key role in providing accurate cost control, financial insights and project reporting that help drive informed decisions, manage risk and keep projects on track from financial close through to commercial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cost control activities across renewable energy projects, including wind, solar and BESS developments.
- Monitor budgets, forecasts, commitments, accruals and cash flow to support effective project delivery.
- Provide cost performance insights, variance analysis and forecast reporting to project stakeholders.
- Review contractor payment claims, variations and supporting documentation to ensure commercial accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate purchase orders, vendor onboarding and project cost information across multiple stakeholders.
- Contribute to monthly project reporting, risk management and continuous improvement of project controls processes.
About You
You're an experienced cost control professional who enjoys working in complex project environments and partnering with diverse stakeholders to deliver commercially sound outcomes. You'll bring strong financial acumen, commercial awareness and a proactive approach to identifying risks and opportunities.
- Proven experience in cost control, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting within large infrastructure, energy or construction projects.
- Strong understanding of contract administration, including payment claims, variations and change management.
- Experience supporting major project delivery environments, ideally within renewable energy, power generation or infrastructure sectors.
- Ability to analyse complex financial and project data and translate insights into clear recommendations.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across project, commercial, finance and procurement teams.
- Tertiary qualification in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, Quantity Surveying, Project Management, Engineering or a related discipline.
