Quantitative Analyst
Future roles in this space typically involve working on the quantitative models that support ENGIE’s trading, portfolio and commercial decision‑making. These positions often combine elements of data science, optimisation, and forecasting, with strong Python and analytics capability.
People who thrive in these roles usually enjoy:

  • Developing and improving quantitative models (e.g. time‑series, Monte Carlo, optimisation, valuation)
  • Coding in Python and working with SQL/databases
  • Translating complex modelling outputs into clear business insights
  • Automating workflows and strengthening analytics systems
  • Working closely with traders, analysts and commercial teams

Trading Quantitative Analyst
We may also have future opportunities focused on modelling trading products, including option valuation and structured commodity pricing. These positions suit people who enjoy fast‑paced market environments and mathematically complex modelling.
Preferred backgrounds for these roles typically include:

  • A solid foundation in financial mathematics (e.g. stochastic calculus)
  • Experience building option pricing models
  • Strong Python and numerical modelling skills
  • Interest in trading‑floor dynamics and real‑time market behaviour
  • Exposure to investment banking, hedge funds or commodities (beneficial but not essential)
