Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand and align on project requirements
- Prepare project documentation for submission to client or consultant, including but not limited to project schedules, method statements, risk assessments, and other relevant documents related to M&E and data centre works, in collaboration with the project team.
- Plan, execute, and oversee all M&E works for data centre projects from design review to final handover.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, without compromising uptime and system integrity.
- Monitor and track project progress, identifying risks, resolving issues, and implementing corrective actions where necessary.
- Coordinate closely with consultants, designers, internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure seamless execution.
- Develop and implement systematic commissioning plans in accordance with project guidelines, regulatory codes, and industry best practices (e.g., Uptime Institute, ASHRAE, SS 638).
- Review and validate technical documents, method statements, QA/QC plans, and design specifications.
- Perform hands-on testing, technical troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective action during commissioning and system turnover.
- Ensure smooth transition from construction to operations by providing technical documentation, detailed testing records, operational workflows, and on-site user training.
- Monitor post-commissioning performance and verify that systems meet operational KPIs.
- Supervise all QA/QC activities, ensuring work quality meets regulatory and project-specific standards.
- Ensure all site works comply with workplace safety, environmental, and authority requirements (e.g., BCA, MOM, SCDF).
- Conduct inspections, ensure alignment with approved drawings, and maintain proper documentation for all activities
Requirements
- Degree/Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, Project Management or equivalent
- At least 10 years experience in M&E or commissioning roles, preferably in data centre or critical infrastructure projects.
- Solid knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, commissioning methodology, and safety protocol
- Familiar with local regulatory codes (e.g. SS 638), industry standards (Uptime Institute, ASHRAE), and authority submission requirements.
- Strong problem-solving skills and hands-on approach in troubleshooting and commissioning.
