The Training Specialist will work as a member of our dynamic and collaborative team and will deliver formal and informal learning programs, processes, services, and technologies to support the enterprise learning strategy. The specialist will consistently demonstrate exemplary behavior and professionalism towards team members, learners, and business partners, as well as seek to make a positive impact on business priorities and performance metrics in the delivery of learning interventions.

 

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Under the direction of the Manager, Learning and Development, deliver group and individual instruction in a virtual environment for a wide range of leadership, technical, operational, and/or process-oriented skill sets using multiple technologies and while utilizing live queue environments.
  • Gain proficiency of technical skills required for delivery of training programs by utilizing live queue environments.
  • Assist in developing performance support materials to include job aids, process checklists, prototypes, simulations, video, computer, and web-based tutorials as directed by the Learning and Development Manager, and in partnership with the Instructional Designers.
  • Support needs assessment and data analysis practices: Collect and sift through historical performance data and combine with current performance trends and data analysis tools to determine future training needs.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of training and development programs, utilizing data collection instruments and procedures as directed.
  • Partner with the business and rapidly respond to ensure that knowledge is imparted: Leverage learner creativity, resilience and individual effort and performance to strive toward increased engagement and productivity as the business experiences continuous change.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking: gather and assess information using ideas to interpret that information insightfully; raise vital questions, formulating them clearly and precisely and identify well- reasoned conclusions and offer solutions.
  • Act in the capacity of team scheduler and under the direction of the team manager, coordinate training schedules and new hire onboarding events, determine trainer delivery assignments, and document training enrollment and completions.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Certification/ Knowledge

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Organizational Development, Human Resources or other related degree preferred.

• High school diploma or GED required.

 

Experience:

• Minimum of four years of experience in quality and/or auditing field and/or training/leadership development

• Strong communication skills; group facilitation, business writing

 

Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a virtual environment.

• Strong project management skills ability to prioritize multiple deliverables.

• Advanced computer skills; including MS Office Suite, Outlook, and SharePoint; strong curiosity for new technology.

• Dependable, reliable, action-oriented, committed to continuous improvement, exceptional quality, and continuous learning.

• Balance ability to work independently with team collaboration.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

▪ Typical office hours are 9 pm to 6 am and may require shifting to morning shift to run training classes.

▪ Performing duties during the evening and on the weekend may be required, as we are a global organization and serve the business in various locations.

▪ Traveling off-site to a local event occurs rarely and may be required.

▪ Incumbent may be exposed to frequent noise caused by telephones, office machines, and nearby oral communications among fellow employees.
