What You Can Expect
As a Financial Reporting Analyst II, you will report to Advisor, Financial Control & Reporting and support compilation and delivery of IFRS and/or US GAAP based financial statements, reporting packages, and analysis to local management, ENGIE Group, and various Canadian and US partnerships. You will ensure reporting compliance with IFRS and US GAAP standards and assist in processes to drive continuous improvement in financial reporting. You will also co-ordinate external audits for ENGIE North America, its partnerships, and joint ventures.
- Compile financial statement reporting packages to ensure they comply with IFRS and US GAAP, as applicable, and comply with contractual partnership reporting requirements
- Assist in coordination of the statutory and external partnership audits. Compile working papers and draft notes disclosures under IFRS and US GAAP, as applicable
- Resource plan, in coordination with the Financial Control and Reporting team, to meet all reporting and audit deadlines identifying both process bottlenecks and efficiency opportunities
- Support management, other ENGIE group, and partnership entities’ financial information requests
- Liaise with ENGIE accounting team to ensure financial reports comply with IFRS or US GAAP standards, including carrying out supporting schedules (capital asset rollforward schedules, related party confirmation, etc)
- Assist in the budget and full-year-forecast processes for various partnership entities
- Coordinate internal partnership management activities, including gathering data, providing analysis, preparing reports, making recommendations, driving productivity initiatives, and corrective actions
- A key team player in process improvements and innovation/automation initiatives for finance-related projects
- Other duties as assigned
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor degree in which you completed courses in Accounting, Finance or other related disciplines
- 2+ years’ experience in external audit, audit coordination, or external financial reporting background for various stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products including advanced Excel.
- Energy sector planning and analysis experience with relevant academic qualifications and intimacy with financial statements
- Self-driven and highly motivated to lead a wide variety of initiatives to provide insight and recommendations to the Global Business Unit operations to better position the business
- Excellent analytical and written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy
- Deadline driven with project management skills necessary for cross-organizational coordination and on-time delivery of results and presentations
- Ability to handle multiple tasks with ease and bring projects to a timely close
- Experience with business intelligence reporting products and report writing highly preferred
- Proficiency in Finance/Accounting software packages such as SAP S4 HANA and Adaptive Insight preferred
- Strong IFRS and US GAAP technical knowledge and research skills preferred

You will be working at ENGIE office in Markham, ON
The temporary position term is from July to October, 2025

Compensation
Hourly Range: $34.56 - $51.83 CAD hourly
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.
