Strategic Sourcing Lead

Key responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing (80%)

• Proactively procure high-value goods and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance with ENGIE's Code of Conduct.
• Develop and implement strategic sourcing contracts, focusing on categories like IT, consultancy, MRO, and equipment.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to drive value and innovation.
• Mentor and develop junior procurement staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Procurement Excellence & Data Analytics (20%)

• Develop and maintain dashboards and visual management tools using Power BI.
• Support decision-making with data-driven insights and recommendations.
• Lead digitisation initiatives to enhance procurement operations.

What we are looking for

• An experienced procurement professional with 5-7 years in buying goods and services, particularly high-value contracts
• Proficient in IT systems and procurement ERP systems (SAP/Ariba knowledge is a plus)
• Skilled in Microsoft 365 suite, with familiarity in Power BI or Power Automate
• Analytical thinker with a passion for continuous improvement and process automation
• Strong negotiator with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Degree holder in a relevant field, with CIPS qualification or willingness to work towards it
• Full driving license and own transport

Job Based In

This is a hybrid role primarily based in our London office, with weekly travel (one day per week) to our Cheshire location. The flexibility of this arrangement allows for a balance between collaborative in-person work and remote productivity.
