What You'll Do
 
- Oversee health, safety, and environmental performance across all operational wind, solar, and battery storage assets in the UK and Ireland.
- Provide HSE oversight and guidance to construction teams, ensuring compliance with ENGIE standards and contractual requirements.
- Conduct regular site audits and inspections, delivering clear feedback and driving continuous improvement across the portfolio.
- Advise Business Development and Project teams on CDM 2015 Regulations and equivalent Republic of Ireland requirements.
- Support ISO accreditation processes and contribute to due diligence studies for new acquisitions.
- Lead and assist with accident and incident investigations, identifying root causes and preventive actions.
- Act as the Specific Point of Contact (SPOC) with ENGIE's central HSE team, ensuring alignment with Group policies and reporting requirements.
 
What You Bring
 
- An accredited professional health and safety qualification (e.g., NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent) is essential.
- Minimum five years of HSE experience, ideally within renewables, construction, or process industries.
- Proven experience managing HSE teams across wind, solar, and BESS assets during both construction and operation.
- Strong working knowledge of UK health and safety legislation, CDM 2015 Regulations, and Irish equivalent regulations.
- Experience with Wind Turbine Safety Rules (WTSR) and health and safety auditing.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and report-writing skills, with full proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- A positive, proactive attitude with the ability to champion a strong safety culture across diverse teams and stakeholders.
- A recognised Fire Risk Assessor qualification is desirable.
 
Location
 
This is a hybrid role based from our London office. You will combine remote working with regular travel to construction sites, operational assets, and office locations across the UK and Ireland. Some overnight stays will be required.
