Job Purpose
- The logistics officer is responsible for coordinating the logistics of our operations and ensuring the efficient, timely delivery of goods and services. monitoring stock levels and overseeing the movement of incoming and outgoing goods. This involves execution of planned distribution (forward and reverse) movements of MySol products (SHS, Appliances and Spare parts).
- This involves coordination and monitoring of transports to and from the National warehouse, and across the MySol shops, while maintaining proper record(s) of transactions in provided tools.
- Also, support all logistical operations, including quality control of products, timely preparation of consignments, and assisting with manual activities including hauling, arrangement, cleaning and movement of goods, as directed by the line manager.
Responsibilities:
- Execute planned distribution (forward and reverse logistics) by ensuring preparation, organization, supervision of loading and offloading of stock at any point.
- Executing reshuffles and field stock balancing
- Reacting to spare parts demands and customer cases assigned to logistics
- Monitor transportation costs through proper stock delivery planning, and negotiation.
- Administration of documents per delivery shipment including delivery notes (hard copy and digital), inventory sheets and ensuring digital data compliance (database)
- Drive adherence and compliance to existing distribution policies and guidelines to ensure product quality and value preservation across the network
- Analyze and optimize supply chain processes, by ensuring continuous improvement across the distribution network using techniques such as (Kaizen and 6S, Six Sigma) by identifying constant improvement areas and formulating approaches for improvement.
- Monitoring and reporting on a weekly & monthly basis for all distributions while ensuring integrity and completion of data recorded in control sheets, database transports and ticketing system. This includes and is not limited to reporting on supply chain performance metrics and preparing budget reports.
- Compliance to health and safety standards by ensuring proper functionality of risky distribution infrastructure including delivery vehicles and loading/offloading equipment, as well as monitory safety and security procedures.
- Assist in resolving any issue related to the supply chain, such as lost and damaged shipments as per policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and national trade agreements.

Requirements
- Minimum holder of bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics and Inventory Management, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Certification in Inventory Logistics and Management or any other relevant certification in supply chain management including CIPS, CLTD, PSPTB, ASCIM, CSCP etc.
- At least three years of working experience, ideally including work with (senior) management
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Reliable team player with very good communication skills and a can-do attitude
- Very good computer skills (MS Office); experience with using databases and spreadsheets is required
- Well-organized self-starter with a passion for ENGIE Mobisol and its mission to plug in the world
- Fluency in the CO language and English
- Willingness to travel nationally
Language(s):
- Fluency in Swahili and English languages with excellent verbal communication skills.
