Join ENGIE/First Hydro Company in nurturing the future of sustainable energy. We're embarking on an exciting £600m+ refurbishment of the iconic Dinorwig Power Station, one of the UK's most inspiring infrastructure projects. As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll contribute to ensuring the safe operation, engineering integrity, and performance of our assets while being part of this landmark initiative.
We're Looking For
- Collaboration and facilitation of plant refurbishment, maintenance, and replacement projects
- Provision of expert mechanical engineering insights and development of innovative solutions
- Implementation of residual life assessments and risk management for plant equipment
- Resolution of plant-level challenges to enhance performance
- Contribution to developing and implementing maintenance and asset management strategies
- Partnership with diverse teams across the business
- Adherence to statutory requirements and local procedures
- Support in budget compilation and resource allocation
Your Profile
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification/experience
- In-depth knowledge and experience in mechanical engineering within the power industry
- Experience in contract management and roles such as Technical Officer
- IOSH Managing Safety certification
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to develop creative solutions
- Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities
- Chartered Engineer status (desirable)
- Understanding of health, safety, and relevant legislation in the power sector
