First Hydro Company operates two pumped-storage hydroelectricity facilities in North Wales, providing rapid-response power to the National Grid during times of system stress or intermittent power supply. Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Information Systems Security Officer to play a crucial role in enhancing our cybersecurity measures. Based at the Dinorwig Power Station in the heart of Snowdonia, you will work closely with our engineering, production, and business departments to ensure the power stations are always ready. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same.
*You must be eligible to work in the UK and have been a resident in the UK for the last 5 years. This role will be subject to National Security Vetting.*
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage a cybersecurity system based on ISO27001 standards.
- Monitor cybersecurity within projects, ensuring necessary actions and measures are followed.
- Lead the monitoring and management of Information Security risks.
- Collaborate with ENGIE Information Security Teams to develop strategies for securing industrial assets in line with internal policies and external regulations, including NIS regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Cybersecurity.
- Internationally recognized certification in cybersecurity (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA).
- Prior experience in managing industrial cybersecurity.
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing complex IT security solutions.

Experience:
- Experience with ISO-based management systems.
- Familiarity with deploying Cyber Security regulations and best practices.
- Proven track record in managing projects.
- Experience in designing, documenting, and implementing IT Security policies, processes, and procedures.
