As an Electrical Engineer on our Dinorwig Refurbishment Project, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring clean, reliable energy for generations to come.
What you will do
- Review and validate electrical design documentation from contractors and existing systems
- Formulate responses to technical queries and requests for information
- Collaborate with Business as Usual (BAU) engineers and operations teams to update design information
- Contribute to the inspection, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems
- Ensure compliance with relevant environmental, health, and safety legislation
- Work within management procedures and corporate IT systems to deliver project objectives
What you will bring to the role
- Degree holder in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of ten years' experience in power generation or heavy industrial processes
- Proficient in electrical inspection, testing, and commissioning (FAT & SAT)
- Strong knowledge of LV/MV switchgear, distribution systems, and relevant IEC standards
- Experienced with LV/MV motors, controls, and starting circuits
- Familiar with DC systems, electrical protection systems, and transformers
- Good working knowledge of wiring regulations (BS7671)
- Skilled in using basic IT systems (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
