We are looking to develop our engineering team to meet our generation and refurbishment challenges and as a result have opportunities for an Electrical Engineer working across both Dinorwig and Ffestiniog power stations to join an existing team of skilled engineers
As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe operation, integrity, and performance of our electrical assets across both power stations.

Summary of what you will do
- Deliver plant refurbishment, maintenance, and replacement projects within assigned budgets
- Manage resources and contractors to meet business plan objectives and KPIs
- Provide expert advice and develop innovative solutions for electrical plant improvements
- Implement quality, environmental, health, and safety initiatives
- Conduct residual life assessments and advise on risk management for electrical assets
- Investigate and solve plant-level problems to enhance performance
- Assist in developing maintenance and asset management strategies
- Contribute to budgetary planning and contract management
What you will bring to the role
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualifications/experience
- Detailed knowledge of electrical systems in the power industry
- Experience in managing contracts and holding roles such as Technical Officer
- IOSH Managing Safely certification (essential)
- Chartered status (desirable)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to provide expert technical guidance
- Excellent project management and communication abilities
- Commitment to safety and environmental best practices
- Innovative thinker with a passion for continuous improvement
Job Based In
This is a site based role. It is expected that the candidates would need to work at both Dinorwig and Ffestiniog power stations located in the Snowdonia (Eryri) region of Wales.
