Then this position as Power Electronics Expert is for you! You’ll join the Electrical Cluster, a team of about 35 colleagues (with 6 in this expertise), where you’ll play a key role in both operational projects and research & innovation.
Our team combines hands-on expertise with research and innovation. We work on solar and battery parks, develop and test inverter systems, and support both Engie and external clients. The atmosphere is open, supportive, and international.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES as Power Electronics Expert
- Lead and execute research and innovation projects in power electronics, especially for renewable energy integration (solar, battery).
- Provide technical consulting and expertise for clients (e.g. design reviews, failure analysis, testing of inverters and power modules).
- Develop and improve lab setups for testing and monitoring power electronic systems.
- Combine practical lab work, simulations, and on-site measurements.
- Mentor and support junior colleagues, and collaborate with international teams (including Latin America and the Middle East).
- Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
YOUR PROFILE as Power Electronics Expert
- Master’s degree in electronics or electrical engineering (PhD is a plus).
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in power electronics (design, testing, simulation).
- Experience with inverter systems, control systems, and lab measurements.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of French and/or Dutch is a plus. Spanish is an asset.
- Comfortable mentoring others and working in a diverse, international team.
- Willing to travel occasionally (up to 10 days/year).
- Open, flexible, and eager to learn.
