About the team

 

Specialized Services: Provide expert technical assistance and lead research projects in water chemistry and nuclear waste management.
 

Hands-On Work: Engage in radiological measurements and support the dismantling of nuclear power stations, often on-site.
 

Collaborative Projects: Work closely with customers and internal teams (Materials, Non-destructive testing) on multidisciplinary projects.

 

Global Reach: While based in Belgium, our work includes international missions, expanding your professional network.

What you’ll be doing

 

Your responsibilities as Nuclear Chemistry Expert (F/M/X)

 

  • Lead Process Development: Drive operational support and process improvements for water chemistry at nuclear power stations.
     
  • Engage in Characterisation: Participate in radiological and physicochemical characterisation for decommissioning projects.
     
  • Conduct On-Site Activities: Perform on-site tasks at ENGIE power stations or other locations in Belgium.
     
  • Collaborate and Present: Work with multidisciplinary experts to solve complex problems and present findings to stakeholders.

Educational Background: Hold a degree in Chemical Engineering or have equivalent experience in chemicals or radiological measurements, with industrial experience (experience with molten salts is a plus).

 

Skill Set: Possess strong reasoning skills with a practical approach, and enjoy combining desk work with field work at nuclear power plants and short trips abroad.

 

Work Style: Thrive working independently, sharing knowledge, and seeking innovative, customer-focused solutions with colleagues.
 

Language Proficiency: Speak fluent French, Dutch, and English, or be willing to quickly improve your language skills to that level.
