ENGIE Laborelec is a research and expertise center focused on electrical power technology, with a team of over 370 employees from different background. About the team

Our Power & Infrastructure Business Line provides high added value activities to the Global Business Units (GBUs) of ENGIE, the power generation sector, grid operators, and the industry in Europe. This covers applied research and on-the-field technical expertise. 

What you’ll be doing

Your responsibilities as a Junior Electrical Engineer

Within our department specialized in Electrical Equipment (EEQ), we seek to appoint an Engineer in this domain (Transformers, Switchgears, Cables).

• You will come into contact with aspects of the entire electricity value chain: production (Nuclear, Classical, or Renewable), transmission, distribution and industry (end user).
• You will be in charge of projects, testing at Laborelec and on-site.
• You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with universities and research centers at home and abroad.

As a Junior Electrical Engineer, you will focus on acquiring competence and experience. You will be required to intervene on industrial sites in Belgium and abroad. This is an opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies, and make a significant impact on our customers' operations.

Are you passionate about technology, and are you considering a career as an Electrical Expert?

• You are a civil or industrial engineer or equally from experience specialized in Electricity or Electro-Mechanics.
• You have a good knowledge with respect to MV / HV networks.
• You are customer oriented and able to build a trust relation with them.
• You are a good communicator and able to work independently as part of a small team.
• You are fluent in English, Dutch and French or willing to become it.
• You are prepared to travel abroad for short term missions, mainly in Europe.
