EMS (European Maintenance Support) is part of the ENGIE Group that executed specialized maintenance activities in different power plants in Belgium and Europe (mostly The Netherlands and France).  

 

Inside our renovations team we are pleased to welcome a motivated Intern hydrogen!

YOUR CHALLENGE as Intern Hydrogen:

 

  • Building a condition monitoring model & Predictive maintenance dashboard for H2 equipments (from converters through electrolyzers till compression).
  • The overall goal is to present a thorough overview of the mechanisms of electrolyzer stack deterioration and condition monitoring methods, with a focus on both PEM and alkaline technologies.
  • It’s your task to:
    • Define electrolysis and its importance in the production of hydrogen.
    • Present a brief explanation of failure modes as their contributing operating factors for electrolyzer stacks, their parts, and the deoxygenation unit.
    • Make the landscape of different techniques used for monitoring stack performance and degradation. 
    • Establish a Key performance indicators (KPIs) dashboard based on data lake information & AI
    • Goals and coverage of the report
  • The paper aims to provide insights into best practices for preserving stack performance and durability as well as to pinpoint potential for future innovation and development in the field by looking at real-world case studies and current research trends.

 

YOUR PROFILE as Intern Hydrogen

 

  • You are a Master student electromechanics or chemics and are looking for a hands-on, internship.
  • You are passioned about technics (electricity and mechanics) and are eager to take on experience in the world of energy production.
  • You’re fluent in Dutch and are able to communicate in English and French.
  • You are mobile, owner of Driving license B and you are able to be present in our power plants of Charleroi (BE) – Eemshaven (NL) & Marseille (FR)
  • You are available between   1/3/’24 en 31/08/’24. A concrete period dan be discussed.
