The Thermal Europe Business Unit is responsible for the maintenance and operation of ENGIE's European power plants. Since 2016, the local IT departments have been merged into one central organization to rationalize the IT landscape and improve efficiency.

To strengthen the migration to a new Operating System, the IS department of the BU Flexible Generation Europe has decided to recruit an IT Workplace Officer Assistant – for a period of 12months.

Your Challenge:

• As an IT Workplace Officer Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our team has the best IT support and equipment. Your key responsibilities include:
• First-Line and Second-Line Support: Assist end users with their IT issues, maintaining and troubleshooting their equipment (laptops, printers, etc.).
• PC Installation and Windows Management: Handle the setup and management of PCs and Windows systems.
• Project Support: Collaborate with technical IT experts on various projects, such as migrations and equipment renewals. This role involves traveling to different operational sites across the country.

IT Support:

• Provide support for applications on Windows (MS Office, browsers, chat systems) and Android.
• Offer on-site support to Belgian users, depending on your language proficiency.

IT Expertise:

• Install business applications.
• Stay updated with new technologies and recommend new products (e.g., smartphones, tablets).
• Provide technical expertise in IT workplace projects (e.g., Windows upgrades, new software deployments).

Your Profile:

We are looking for candidates who meet one of the following criteria:

• Long-term job seekers with a work card ONEM/RVA.

• Mandatory:
• Possession of a driver's license and your own vehicle (kilometers reimbursed by Engie).

Your Skills:

• Passionate about IT and new technologies.

• Strong communication skills.Service-oriented with a great capacity for organization.
• Autonomous and able to work within a team.
• Experience with IT support, entrepreneurial spirit, and ability to work in an international and virtual team.
• Multilingual: Native Dutch or French (preferably with good knowledge of the other language). Good knowledge of English is essential (all IT processes and communications are in English).
• Strong safety and environmental awareness, always prioritizing the health and safety of yourself and your colleagues.
