About the team

 

Our Emission Department’s mission is to increase the environmental performances of our customer assets. We support ENGIE’s ambitions to be the world leader in zero-carbon transition in its three core activities (electricity, natural gas and energy services). We are a leader in global solution provider in the NOx emissions reduction of the flue gases based on SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) technology. The department leads the development of Carbon Capture Use & Storage (CCUS) technologies within Engie and beyond.

Our team is continuously focus on developing top quality expertise in our fields and leveraging it into commercially attractive solutions for our customers, which enable us to accompany our customers in the concrete implementation of climate change & air depollution

What you’ll be doing

 

Your responsibilities as Emissions Laboratory & Equipment Technician
 

As Emissions Laboratory and Equipment Specialist you will contribute to the team objectives in both DeNOx and CCUS domains. You will work alongside a supportive team, and will have access to professional development opportunities to help you grow in your career.

 

You will conduct laboratory tests on a semi bench to evaluate the performance of SCR catalysts. Those catalysts can be found in several industries like waste-to-energy, cement, glass, petrochemicals… The performance of those catalysts is key to assess the need of buying new catalyst or performing extra services like high performance cleanings. Other important parameters for evaluation of performance of catalyst or for root cause analysis are XRF test and BET (porosity test).

You will manage different equipment’s that are used for emissions measurements campaign and give ad-hoc support for the site missions.

 

More concretely, you will:

  • conduct semi bench measurements for evaluation of performance of DeNOx catalysts:
    • collect the sample,
    • prepare the samples,
    • conduct the test on the bench with the rights settings
    • report the results to the project manager in due time
  • conduct other lab analyses as XRF, BET
  • manage measurement equipment (e.g. transportation, maintenance, calibration)
  • give ad-hoc support for emissions campaigns

  • Have a professional bachelor in Chemistry/ or equivalent
  • Have a first industry experience is a plus, this opportunity is also open to young graduate
  • Demonstrate rigor and structure

  • Have flexibility and are prepared to support the team where you can add value
  • Work autonomously and you are also a team player
  • Speak French or Dutch and English (comprehension at least) and are willing to learn another language
