For the department EMS (European Maintenance Support), we are currently looking for a Deputy Powertrain Operations Manager (M/F/X)
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES as Deputy Powertrain Operations Manager
- Strategic Coordination: Support resource planning and project alignment across technologies and regions, ensuring smooth operations and high client satisfaction.
- Talent Development: Help identify future leaders, shape training programs, and foster a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
- Quality & Safety: Ensure compliance with ENGIE standards, drive quality deliverables, and promote continuous improvement across projects.
- Partner Network: Manage a pool of external experts to support peak workloads and specialized needs, while maintaining high performance and ethical standards.
- Business Support: Contribute to proposals, budgeting, and planning, and help explore new business opportunities during quieter periods. Your role involves frequent travel to Belgium and The Netherlands (Flevoland/Groningen), with occasional international travel.
- Leadership & Culture: Promote collaboration, diversity, and a performance-driven mindset, while supporting ENGIE’s digital transformation journey.
YOUR PROFILE as Deputy Powertrain Operations Manager
- Education: Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electromechanical, or equivalent) or equivalent by field experience.
- Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience in industrial maintenance, power generation, or field services, including proven people management experience.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication abilities and capacity to operate within an international and multicultural environment. Fluent in English and at least one of the national languages (Dutch or French), with good understanding of the other.
- Demonstrated ability to mobilize and coordinate multidisciplinary teams toward common goals.
- Sound understanding of project economics, safety culture, and continuous improvement principles.
- You may be integrated into an on-call role in the future, approximately one week out of every seven.
- You always take responsibility for the health and safety of yourself and your colleagues!

Compensation & Benefits in the Netherlands
- An attractive salary within the FUCO remuneration policy (FUCO F). The final salary scale will be determined based on your knowledge and experience.
- A contract for 32–40 hours per week.
- 8% holiday allowance and performance-based bonuses.
- 30 vacation days and 0.5 vitality day (based on a full-time contract).
- And many other employment conditions in accordance with our FUCO Remuneration Policy and CAO policy.
For this position, you will mainly work in both Belgium and the Netherlands. Your teams are also based in these countries. Therefore, we expect flexibility to travel to your teams.
