European Maintenance Services (EMS) is part of Flexible Generation Europe and is positioning itself as a solution provider for specialized maintenance services and projects. EMS also provides field service solutions, maintenance expertise and outage engineering for different assets in Belgium and abroad.

 

As part of the EMS Development department of EMS, the Commercial & Cooperation Development team is managing the EMS portfolio and developing new businesses for EMS. This portfolio is build up out of all EMS activities for internal and external customers. Within the team we are currently looking for an Aera Cooperation Manager (M/F/X).

YOUR PROFILE as an Area Cooperation Manager (M/F/X):

 

  • You hold a master engineering degree and can offer solid experience in maintenance services preferably in the industry market.
  • You have a strong technical foundation in generation of electricity/steam.
  • You understand the world of maintenance service suppliers, reengineering companies, OEM, etc. as well as their strategies.
  • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • You are client oriented and solution oriented.
  • You are multilingual: excellent command of Dutch and English (both written and spoken). Basic knowledge of French is a big plus.

YOUR MISSION as an Area Cooperation Manager (M/F/X):

 

  • Develop new business and manage the existing EMS portfolio of the Flex Generation Europe Fleet within the area: the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Great Britain.
  • Drive the commercial process supported by the EMS CRM (from detecting opportunities over contracting of activities to invoicing of orders after execution).
  • Participate to the definition of the sales and development strategy of EMS.
  • Collaborate with the different sales channels that EMS uses to sell its products (e.g.: GEM, Laborelec, Tractebel Engineering, etc.).
  • Support the Controlling and the Equipment Solutions departments in the tendering process.
  • Participate to the definition of the EMS budgets (own personnel and external).

Location: Official headquarters of EMS: Linkebeek in Belgium or Zwolle in The Netherlands. Nevertheless you will regularly travel to different clients within Europe (mainly) (30% to 50% of the time).

THE RECRUITMENT PROCESS:

 

  • Short contact by phone between you and our recruiter Nancy (motivation, understanding of the position and expectations).
  • First interview with Nancy and n+1: Frederik Foulon, the manager of this team. (Extensive introduction, testing soft and hard skills and completing online personality assessment and abstract reasoning skills).
  • When positive, a​​​n external assessment center (via Hudson) will be organized.
    When selected, final interview will be organized with Bert Hofman.

The aim of EMS is to investigate the best long-term solution in terms of plant or equipment availability and reliability combined with a sound budget adapted to the client's specific situation.

 

Commercial & Cooperation Development covers the long term relations with:

  • the different power plants of FlexGeneration Europe in order to provide them a competitive advantage by using specialized maintenance know-how and solutions present within EMS
  • different entities of the Group in order to explore opportunities for new business by creating synergies between EMS and the other entity
  • external customers in order to develop and contract new activities for EMS

Commercial & Cooperation Development is organized by regional area’s to be able to fulfill the role of 'portfolio manager' and first point of contact towards the internal and external customer.

 

The Area Cooperation Manager (M/F) mobilizes the knowledge and people within EMS to deliver the products of maintenance expertise and long-term maintenance strategy. He/she has an overview per power plant and customer of all maintenance activities, including handling of projects and incidents. He/she actively explores new business activities.

 

The Area Cooperation Manager manages the long-term relationship with the different stakeholders taking into account the information coming from the other EMS departments (e.g.: cost and planning issues, Return on Experience, etc.).
