Purpose of the job:
To drive business growth within our I&C B2B Energy Supply Division, by developing and converting a pipeline of new
business opportunities within the Energy Supply Sales team. This includes direct engagement with customers,
prospects, and Key TPIs (Third Party Intermediaries) to ensure high levels of service and successful conversion of
leads into sales. Ensure enduring relationships are built with customers and Key TPIs through customer-centred
engagement and active collaboration across support teams to deliver high levels of customer service by managing all
elements of the sales and contract process.
Develop and maximise commercial opportunities, delivering tailored energy solutions that help customers meet
their commercial goals and accelerate their transition to net zero,
You’ll be responsible for identifying new opportunities, securing contracts, and maximising the performance of a
portfolio of I&C customers. A key focus will be on integrating renewable energy solutions into client strategies,
including PPAs. The position also play a pivotal role in managing and expanding relationships with Third Party
Intermediaries (TPIs), ensuring alignment and mutual success.
Key Accountabilities:
• Identify, engage and develop new I&C business opportunities to achieve personal and team sales targets.
• Own and optimise a portfolio of I&C clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction, retention, and commercial
performance, whilst maximizing growth of these clients.
• Drive the delivery of sales targets for the team and sales department. Assist in identifying and developing new
opportunities to ensure personal and team targets are achieved (financial & volume growth).
• Build and manage a high-quality pipeline through proactive outreach, networking, and industry engagement.
• Deliver compelling proposals and close deals that align with customer goals and company targets.
• Build long-term relationships by offering customised energy solutions with a focus on renewable energy
promoting our green energy offerings such as REGO-backed tariffs and various Power Purchase Agreements
(PPAs) structures.
• Serve as a trusted advisor, helping clients navigate the complex energy market, regulatory developments and
transition to low carbon operations.
• Be the face of ENGIE for customers, prospects and Key TPIs.
• Conduct regular meetings with external customers, prospects, and Key TPIs to explore business
opportunities.
• Participate in internal meetings and collaborate with operational teams to ensure excellent customer service.
• Develop and maintain structured relationships with key TPIs and prospects to achieve sales targets.
• Manage a portfolio of customers and oversee the commercial relationship whilst ensuring ENGIEdeliver a
market-leading service experience.
• Ensure adherence to internal processes and risk frameworks.
• Collaborate with the wider organization to ensure optimum contract and customer management.

• Achieve personal, team and department sales targets through proactive business development
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline status, and customer interactions using CRM tools.
• Provide regular reporting on performance against KPIs and forecasts.
• Support the renewal of gas and electricity contracts to meet defined retention targets.
• Engagement with targeted TPIs, building strong relationships and understanding their requirements and
opportunities.
• Enhance brand awareness in the marketplace by attending industry events, networking and promoting case
studies
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure effective contract operations Ensure alignment of pipeline and
business activity in line with the wider sustainability goals of ENGIE.
Dimensions of job:
• No direct reports.
• Homebased with travel requirement to the Leeds Office and Customer sites.
• Some international travel may be required,
Key relationships:
• Internal: All Retail departments, in particular; Line Manager, Sales Support, Commercial, Finance, Local
Portfolio Management, Marketing and Products, Legal, Operations and the wider ENGIE UK Team.
• External: Existing customers, Prospective customers, Third Party Intermediaries (brokers, consultants - both
existing relationships and new)
Knowledge and skills:
• Proven ability to identify, develop, and convert new business opportunitie with a focus on I&C customers.
• Proven ability to manage an ongoing pipeline
• Proven ability in TPI development and Sales Campaigns
• Expertise in managing multi-site customers and delivering tailored solutions.
• Strong numerical, analytical, IT skills and verbal reasoning.
• Effective problem-solving skills to address complex issues.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other sales tools.
• Excellent presentation, proposal, and report writing skills.
• Advanced knowledge of sales techniques and strategies for optimization.

• Knowledge of the UK Energy Market with special reference to flexible supply contracts.
• Knowledge of complex products (traded market) and product development.

• Experience with CRM platforms and sales analytics tools.

Experience:
• Proven track record in developing and converting a pipeline of direct and TPI led prospects.
• Significant experience of sales process and techniques and optimisation specific to energy supply.
• Proven ability to manage customer relationships within the UK industrial and commercial energy supply
sector.
• Experience of defining and selling customer specific value propositions within the retail energy market.
• Previous industry experience (minimum of 3 years’ experience managing an I&C portfolio)
