About the role


ENGIE are recruiting for a Hedging and Deal Capture Coordinator based in Leeds. This is a Permanent role, working Full Time Monday to Friday. On offer is a competitive salary, bonus and benefits package.


Key Responsibilities


  • Forward hedging of ENGIE Energy Supply customer sales to be completed as detailed in the Energy Supply Retail Hedging Strategy.
  • Manage flexible customer requests.  This includes;
    • Reacting to customer requests in a prompt and accurate manner,
    • Providing purchase/sales price(s) to the customer,
    • Transactions carried out between ENGIE Power Limited and trading counterparty,
    • Transactions carried out between ENGIE Power Limited and customer,
    • Accurate and timely recording of customer deal (volume, prices) in the appropriate systems and End User Applications.
  • Developing and maintaining working relationships with customer contacts and Third Party Intermediaries (TPI’s) trading on behalf of flexible customers.
  • Management of gas and electricity default-day processes.
  • Management of gas and electricity “Sell-Back” processes.
  • Production of daily forward curves and maintenance of forward curve pricing models.
  • Ensuring customer positions are fully up to date and consistent across all relevant systems.


Key Requirements


  • Experience of managing large sets of data.
  • Experience of Energy Markets is desirable
  • Experience of forward trading would be advantageous.
  • Degree level (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline, preferable.
  • Knowledge of hedging and deal capture processes and policies.
  • Knowledge of Retail products.

  • Able to successfully communicate and manage external customers.
  • Microsoft Office proficient.

  • Able to work with internal and external parties to deliver effective solutions.
