Job Purpose/Mission
Engie Energy Access Rwanda is looking for a passionate and driven Sales Operations Manager to expand its customer base, boost revenue, and position EEA as the leading solar energy provider in Rwanda. The role involves building and managing a dynamic, high-performing sales team capable of reaching and serving customers across the entire Rwandan market.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational / Technical
- Develop and implement sales and distribution strategies to ensure the achievement of revenue maximization, customer acquisition and customer reimbursement goals.
- Manage the expansion of EEA business footprint to ensure product availability in target markets.
- Ensure an exceptional customer experience at all customer touch points.
- Develop and execute sales promotions to achieve set goals within approved budget.
- Ensure that pricing and commission structures are followed throughout the distribution chain.
- Follow up with field sales teams to ensure the quality of MySol customers in repayments.
- Ensure adequate storage of the full range of MySol products at all MySol points of sale.
- Develop business channels by gathering insights in the market of products demanded and make recommendations based on these insights of products to sell and/or requirements for pricing reviews (to match market trends).
Leadership
- Identify, recruit, train and retain sales talent.
- Manage and motivate RBMs and the RPC field force to achieve set goals.
- Observe EEA values throughout the field strength.
- Support field sales teams to build strong relationships with community stakeholders.
- Examine the geographic distribution of the country and deploy the sales teams accordingly to effectively cover the market potential.
- Coach and support team growth in accordance with career growth and personal development plans.
- Contribute to EEA leadership strategies and plans.
- Action Performance Management in teams that are underperforming
Management
- Develop, coordinate and ensure the timely execution of field force activities in accordance with defined activity plans.
- Guide field teams in identifying MySol POS to maximize brand presence and customer traffic.
- Ensure field force expenses are within approved budget.
- Report on performance of the commercial team.
- Monitor and report on competitor activities and advise on strategies to maintain competitive advantage.
Innovation
- Develop an innovative culture within the sales force to support managerial initiatives.
- Generate innovative ideas related to distribution optimization, customer acquisition and customer reimbursement.
Knowledge and skills:
Experience: -
- Minimum of 4 years of sales and marketing management experience in a well-known, fast-growing consumer goods organization.
- Have experience in managing a diverse regional sales force.
- Ability to lead and motivate sales teams.
- Ability to work in a constantly changing professional environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in commerce, marketing, social science.
- MBA is an Advantage
