Job Purpose/Mission 

Engie Energy Access Rwanda is seeking talented, motivated Finance Manager to join our rapidly growing team.  This position is a key role within the Finance Department in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with one or more departmental heads to identify bottlenecks to scale our business and areas for company improvement. He/she is responsible for the delivery of department, process specific, and general standardized financial information to the management in the country and at HQ.   

 

Responsibilities

 

Controlling function

  • Assistance with preparation of department budgets, forecasts and cash flows
  • Analysis and adjustment of budgeted and incurred expenses
  • Advising management regarding expenditure activities
  • Financial modelling and analysis
  • Assist with the audit preparation work to allow for timely completion of the financial statements and financial report

 

Accounting function

  • Maintenance and evaluation of fixed asset register and procedures
  • Assisting with calculation and valuation of stock
  • Calculation and adjustment of cost of sales and direct costs
  • Allocation of costs regarding cost centers and budget
  • Calculation and reporting of revenues and income
  • Analysis of financial data related to project

 

Internal Audit function

  • Responsible for development and implementation of internal controls and systems in compliance with the specifics given by tax and labor law and general company standards
  • Responsible for development and implementation of risk management guidelines
  • Mitigation of fraud and illegal activitie

 

Required Skills and Experience

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor´s degree in Finance or Accounting and 3 years of relevant experience in finance.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in accounting
  • Experience in developing and managing budgets
  • Experience in developing and implementing internal control functions
  • Very strong excel skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Fluency in English and language of the countr

 

Key performance indicators (KPIs)

  • Timely production of reports and analyses
  • Specified reports produced at the required time
  • Decreased levels of fraud
  • Reduction of budget variances and adjustment
