LEI Electric Mobility is ENGIE’s global entity focused on electric mobility solutions. It operates as an international profit center within the Local Energy Infrastructures (LEI) business unit. The organization develops, owns, and operates charging infrastructure under the ENGIE Vianeo brand across Europe.
Its structure includes:
A central team managing strategy, innovation, marketing, digital & IT, energy management, and customer experience.
Regional entities in France, Belgium, Germany, and Spain responsible for business development, project deployment, and asset management.
France and Belgium already have charging points for light-duty vehicles, while Germany and Spain are launching heavy-duty vehicle charging networks. The first German contract was signed in July 2025.
Objectives and main responsibilities
The Managing Director (MD) E-Mobility Germany reports to the MD e-Mobility. As a member of ENGIE Vianeo Europe (EVE) Leadership Team, he/she contributes to the overall e-mobility strategy development and execution in Europe. In compliance with the central EVE guidance, rituals and processes, the Managing Director (MD) E-Mobility Germany is responsible for:
- Business Development & Sales: Develop the charging infrastructure for heavy electric vehicles in Germany, aligned with ENGIE’s e-mobility objectives; pilot the sales with BtoB clients (transportation and logistics companies) and establish strong relationships with all local stakeholders, including institutional relationships
- Operations Management and Industrialization: Lead daily operations activities, including planning, organizing, and execution; contribute to define and implement the local industrialization strategy; drive operational efficiency, foster innovation, and enhance the overall performance of the organization
- Ensure compliance with local and European regulations
- Manage the local e-mobility team
- Co-construct the Germany Medium-Term Plan (MTP) with EVE Leadership Team, consolidate and report local P&L results as a profit center.
Required Skills:
- Ability to attract, lead and motivate a diverse team, and to maintain a positive and a growth mindset in the team
- At least 5 years experience in a leadership position in asset-based business model, either in P&L management and/or in infrastructures deployment, operation and maintenance
- Partnership and customer orientation, with the ability to understand and respond to the needs of land partners and clients over the life of a project, while preserving ENGIE’s interests
- Collaboration, team spirit, agility and problem-solving mindset, ability to be comfortable with new markets/uncertainty, excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
- Fluent in German and English. Frequent travels across Germany and regular travels to France or Belgium.
