Work environment
You will work as a Junior BIM engineer, from our office in Ghent, within our Transport Infrastructure department, the department within Tractebel that mainly designs/studies projects related to roads, tramways, airports, tunnels and bridges.
Besides designing roads, designing drainage systems is a second important part, taking into account climate change and sustainable use of (rain) water.
Role
- You carry out infrastructure projects together with our team of experts, working closely with the project leader,
- You carry out design work and keep abreast of new techniques and developments in your field,
- You assist the project leader in his management tasks,
- You communicate with other project disciplines, including structural, architectural, geotechnical, surveying and other aspects of a project.
- You report to the project leader and your team manager,
- You develop your technical skills (ACAD, Civil 3D ...)
Profile
- You have a bachelor or master degree in industrial engineering
- You work on infrastructure projects, from primary roads to secondary roads, including sewage and drainage systems, bridges, ....
- You have experience with road design standards, methods and practices
- You are structured and able to work independently and in a team, you have good communication skills, knowledge/interest/affinity with infrastructure and topography
- You have a very good knowledge of ACAD, 3D design packages (Civil 3D preferred)
- Experience with PIPES (Civil 3D) is a plus
- A first experience with GIS and BIM packages (BIM360, Navisworks, ...) is recommended
- You are a team player; dynamic, accurate, solution-oriented and creative
- You have a good command of at least two of the following languages, with excellent writing skills: Dutch - English - French
- You are in possession of an international driving licence / "B" licence
