Tax Federal Senior Analyst

As our Tax Federal Senior Analyst, your daily tasks will be preparing complex federal income tax returns and payments, supporting the calculation of corporate alternative minimum tax (CAMT), and assisting in the preparation of consolidated tax provisions and forecasts. Additionally, you will support federal tax compliance and financial reporting for federal consolidation and partnership. This role reports to the Tax Manager and is based in Houston, TX.

 

 

  • Maintain accurate tax fixed asset depreciation schedules aligned with accounting records
  • Manage W-9s and process Employer Identification Number (EIN) requests
  • Prepare income tax provisions for assigned entities and reconcile prior year’s estimated provisions to the actual tax returns (RTA)
  • Become proficient in running Alteryx workflow processes to update fixed assets in FAS (Sage) and reconcile deferred inventory to actual tax basis
  • Compile documentation for external auditors in collaboration with the local audit team
  • Document and monitor internal controls, support the internal controls process, and participate in the year-end tax memo process

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • A minimum of five (5)+ years' relevant experience in public accounting or industry tax
  • You are CPA certified or currently in progress towards certification
  • You possess strong written and verbal communication skills
  • You have knowledge of tax depreciation methods, amortization, and dispositions
  • You are experienced in partnership and corporate federal income tax compliance
  • You are proficient in tax provision and tax return software, Microsoft Word, and Excel

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy with a minimum of two (2) days working in the Houston, TX office
  • Must be willing and able to comply with ENGIE’s policy with respect to COVID vaccination and testing 
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies 

 

 

Compensation

Salary Range: $78,225 – $114,195 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
