Risk manage and trade the Northeast US Natural Gas markets for EEMNA. The position is responsible for managing risk and resources, and identifying and executing trading opportunities in the physical and financial markets. This position requires the flexibility and willingness to cover all Northeast US Natural Gas markets within provided jurisdictions. This position will support physical assets, loads, and other transaction types. The Ideal candidate must possess the ability to function well in an open-floor environment and collaborate well with team members.
This position is located in Houston, TX and reports to the Director Gas Trading.
What you’ll do:
- Risk manage Northeast US Natural Gas region
- Provide market making to ENGIE North America retail business platform
- Work with EEMNA origination staff
- Work to develop EEMNA trading and origination strategy
- Provide senior level leadership in the Gas and Power trading organization.
- Deploy trading capital Northeast US gas markets
- Provide insight into US and Northeast gas region fundamentals
- Primary portfolio manager responsible for long-term portfolio management
What you bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, mathematics or similar discipline is preferred
- 5-10 years of relevant US trading experience
- Ability to lead team and provide direction to Trading and Origination staff
- Disciplined risk taker
- Excellent analytical skills
- Experience working on structured origination transactions (renewables, retail)
- Clear and effective communicator. Willingness to engage in dialogue and debate with colleagues
- Can work autonomously and be flexible
- Proficient in Excel

- Salary Range: $120,700 - $307,190, annually
- Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors
- In addition to salary, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan
