What You Can Expect

As a Senior Accountant in Houston, you will be responsible for general ledger accounting and reporting activities for renewable entities.

Perform monthly and annual closing processes for assigned entities, including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and management reporting

 

  • Responsible for performing thorough balance sheet account reconciliations and following up on balances as required
  • Confirming project funding for weekly payments
  • Liaising with key project stakeholders
  • Perform accounting and reporting tasks, and meet reporting requirements for Renewables group.  Renewables activities include preparing monthly operating reports and cash management
  • Develop processes, drive continuous improvement, coordinate requirements upstream and downstream in the organization
  • Interface with external auditors and preparation of financial schedules and required requests
  • Assist Performance Control Analyst in the preparation of annual budget and annual long-term forecast
  • Perform ad-hoc projects as needed, including those which may involve complex or advanced accounting concepts
  • Comply with all ENGIE North America policies and procedures
  • Carry out other duties as assigned

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience 
  • Bachelor’s degree in which you completed courses in Accounting or other related disciplines
  • Strong Microsoft office suite skills
  • Strong accounting and financial reporting skills
  • Expertise in use of Microsoft Excel.
  • Tools used for the job may include Microsoft Office Tool Suite, Cartesis, SAP
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal customers and external auditors
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Deadline driven and ability to plan ahead to ensure smooth close processes
  • Strong-interpersonal skills and self-motivated
  • Work in time sensitive environment, may be outside of usual business hours

Compensation

Salary Range: $74,500 – $114,195 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
