What You Can Expect

Scheduling Advisor, to join our high performing team. The Scheduling Advisor will work within the Project Controls Office within the Grid Scale Renewables Team. The Scheduling Advisor will interface and work collaboratively on cross-functional internal and external project teams to support managing, training, and maintaining project scheduling processes, procedures, and best practices services throughout the entire duration of the project life cycle.  Including leading a team of schedulers/ planners as well as managing their own portfolio of projects, while ensuring Company objectives are being met. 

  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in the various disciplines of project scheduling and control; maintains ownership for the development and continuous improvement of scheduling policies, standards, and guides that standardize to optimize project schedule deliverables.
  • Work independently to monitor the portfolio’s schedule health and viability metrics and make improvements as required.  This includes overseeing a team of internal and external resources to ensure the project portfolio is continuously supported through its lifecycle
  • This is a detail-oriented individual who will proactively pursue and investigate underlying features surrounding information being reported in order to understand project related risks/ issues and provide solutions
  • Interface with internal and external stakeholders on matters relating to project scope, contract requirements, schedule progress and performance
  • Routinely produce, assess, and distribute weekly and monthly project status reports. 

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Science in Project or Construction Management, Information Systems, or related field is preferred.   Including Project Management Professional (PMP), PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP), or similar certification is preferred.
  • Must have at least 5 years of experience working as a project scheduler/ planner and able to illustrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties required
  • Advanced proficiency in a scheduling software such as Microsoft Project Professional and Project Web App (PWA) or Primavera P6.
  • Advanced Proficiency with Microsoft Excel to create customized schedule analysis tools using data import, sorting and filtering, pivot tables, graphs, charts, and custom formulas (such as VLOOKUP), etc..  Including experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) key performance indicators (KPI’s) and S-Curve calculation and analysis.
  • Project schedule development (according to best practices of the Project Management Institute), using the Critical Path Method.   Including the ability to conduct forensic schedule analysis using dynamic CPM schedule models.
