What You Can Expect
The Project Delivery, Project Management Director for ENGIE, provides strategic leadership for a rolling portfolio of Renewable, Construction/Pre-Construction projects and mitigates potential risk by being proactive in assessing and addressing potential issues.
Everyday in this role you will provide Strategic, Tactical Leadership and direction to a staff of Project Managers (PM), Project Engineers, and Construction Site Managers to ensure project scopes, schedules, and budgets are managed for success. Develop strategic project objectives and provide direction for projects from late-stage development through pre-construction and construction phases. Champion change, effectively manage the implementation of new ideas, and communicate relevant information to senior management. Manage, guide, and mentor assigned staff at all levels, fostering their development and ensuring effective team leadership.
- Project Management/Execution: Manage the integration of development and construction execution functions for committed projects. Provide tactical leadership for the preparation and maintenance of detailed project execution strategies, including contracting strategies, project management execution plans, construction plans, schedules, and budgets. Ensure the overall success of project execution by consistently implementing construction management tools for each assigned project
- Contractor Management: Participate in the pre-qualification of all contractors to ensure the best opportunity for project execution success. Ensure that safety, quality, cost, environmental, landowner, and legal requirements are achieved or exceeded while accomplishing project objectives
- Technical Guidance and RFP Process: Understand the implications of variance technical options and able to guide engineering designs to achieve the best optimal solution for each situation. Support the balance-of-plant process, preparation of turbine installation bid documents, and the Request for Proposal process. Assist with the negotiation of construction contracts. Provide input to the pre-engineering and constructability reviews, driving procurement of long-lead equipment and assisting the Pre-Construction Department with the construction contracting strategy
- Leadership During Construction: Provide leadership during project construction activities, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, cost, environmental, landowner, and other project requirements are met or exceeded. Ensure the execution of work in accordance with contracts and policies
- Financial Analysis and Compliance: Consolidate and analyze budgets, costs, forecasts, and utilization against established financial goals
- Collaboration and Relationship Building : Support, and solicit input from staff at all levels of the organization while establishing effective and supportive relationships with colleagues, and reinforce a team approach throughout the enterprise, both on projects and internal initiatives. - Resource Management: Provide primary support to HR Department in recruiting new talent and developing PM job descriptions. Is the leader to review PM candidates, interview, and recommend successful candidates to fill roles to grow the Delivery Project Management group
What You’ll Bring

Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field of equivalent technical training. Alternatively, a Master’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration
- Minimum 10 years in the utility scale energy sector including renewable energy, industrial construction, or capital project management
Project Management Professional Certification (PMP). However, we welcome candidates with equivalent experience or other relevant certifications
- Advanced Knowledge: Expertise in construction management and constructing methods for large projects, contract management, procurement, and supply chain management, environmental, building permitting, and transportation logistics
- Basic Knowledge:
- Construction labor relations throughout the U.S and Canada
- Applicable industry standards and codes, including Uniform Building Code (UBC), International Building Code (IBC), American Concrete Institute (ACI), American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC), Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute (CRSI), National Fire Protection Association, (NFPA), and American National Standards Institute (ANSI)
- Land surveying methods and practices, aerial photography, and mapping, including Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM), North American Datum (NAD) coordinate systems, and geospatial references
- Technical Skills:
- Ability to interpret documents produced in AutoCAD, GIS, and other discipline-relevant software
- Understanding of project/construction management software platforms, preferable Procore and Microsoft Project Online
- Proficiency of Microsoft products and/or complementing products
- Competencies:
- Analytical Problem Solving, Strong Communication, Customer/Partner Relationships, and Technology Expertise
- Effective leadership and team-building skills with organizational commitment
- Ability to demonstrate strategic vision, and ability to work successfully with a team daily in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Additional Details
- This role requires attendance at our Broomfield, CO office two weeks a month, with the balance of time at project sites or hybrid ENGIE office
- Must be available to travel domestically up to 50% of the time
- Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record, for the use of hire cars or personal cars when traveling, to drive to site locations and meetings
- This position consists of 35% of outdoor work, while performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions
- Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
Compensation
Salary Range: $146,300 – $224,135 USD annually
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
