What You Can Expect

ENGIE is searching for a highly motivated intern with a strong interest in US electricity markets and data analytics. As a Trading Analytics Intern, you will report to CEO ENGIE Energy Marketing North America (EEMNA) and develop your analytical skills while learning about the role of energy storage in US power markets.

 

  • Work with various teams to utilize analytics to inform the optimization of energy storage systems
  • Learn the fundamental drivers of price movements in deregulated power markets
  • Build programs that scrape and aggregate data form public data sources
  • Leverage various datasets to create predictive analytics around US power markets
  • Systematically deliver real time data and forecasts to the trading team to improve their decision-making process

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in which you completed courses in Economics, Environmental Studies, Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
  • Current graduate student at an accredited college or university, MBA preferred
  • Strong interest in the US electricity grid/energy industry
  • Wiling to learn and work in a challenging, fast-paced, trading floor environment
  • Prior internship or work experience in wholesale electricity markets, preferred

 

 

Additional Details

  • The internship work term will be from May 2024 to August 2024, full-time work schedule working 40 hours per week
  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy (4 days work in office and 1 day work from home)  
  • Must be willing and able to comply with ENGIE’s policy with respect to COVID vaccination and testing 
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies 

 

 

Compensation

Salary Range: $21.00 – $34.00 USD hourly

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.
