What You Can Expect

As our Legal Intern, you will provide legal support to the Supply & Energy Management Legal Department. In this role, you will assist one attorney and two team members with administrative and legal matters. You will gain hands-on experience reviewing, proofreading, and redlining contracts, letters, and other legal documents. This hybrid internship is based in our Houston, TX office and will run from May 2025 to August 2025.

 

  • Administering contracts with counterparties, including ISDA Master Agreements, NAESB Base Contracts, NDAs, REC agreements, and energy marketing and trading contracts
  • Maintaining a database of key provisions for EEMNA contracts to support the legal team
  • Responding to legal department requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Reviewing and updating corporate forms to ensure compliance with current standards and proper organization

 

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You are at least a college sophomore pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Business, or a pre-law program, seeking hands-on experience in your field of study

  • You have a solid understanding of  document management system
  • You have excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to establish positive relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers
  • You are knowledgeable in MS Office, particularly MS Word, and possess strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail
  • You have the ability to prioritize and organize work effectively to meet multiple and changing deadlines
  • You are a proactive team player who can also work independently to achieve goals

 

 

 

 

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy with a minimum of three (3) days working in office if you are based in Houston, TX
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies

 

 

 

 

Compensation

Hourly Range:  $21.00 - $34.00 USD hourly

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

 

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.
