What You Can Expect
The internship work term will be from May 2025 – August 2025, full-time work schedule working up to 40 hours per week.
As an Energy Transition Analyst Intern, you will be a driving force in the energy transition! This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience at the forefront of the evolving energy landscape. As part of ENGIE Supply & Energy Management’s Gas Origination team, you'll contribute directly to the development and execution of commercial strategies focused on renewable natural gas (RNG), responsibly sourced gas (RSG), and other innovative energy solutions. You'll collaborate with a dynamic team to identify, analyze, and advance opportunities that drive growth and support ENGIE's commitment to a sustainable future.
- Market Analysis & Opportunity Identification: Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities in the RNG, RSG, and broader energy transition space. Leverage your findings to generate actionable insights that enhance deal flow and inform commercial decision-making.
- Deal Evaluation & Financial Modeling: Contribute to the evaluation of potential investment opportunities by building financial models, conducting due diligence, and assessing project economics.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with commercial, technical, and legal teams to support the development and execution of transactions. Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to maximize deal value and ensure alignment with ENGIE's strategic objectives.
- Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to streamline and improve internal processes related to deal origination and execution. Contribute to the development of tools and systems that enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Communication & Presentation: Effectively communicate your findings and recommendations through concise reports and presentations.

What You’ll Bring
- Must be a Junior or Senior (by end of Spring 2025 semester) pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
- Must possess a 3.0 GPA or higher
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- A passion for the energy industry and a genuine interest in contributing to the energy transition
Additional Details
- This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy; three days a week in the office
- Interns must be enrolled students in good standing at the commencement of the intern semester
- Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
Compensation
Hourly Range: $21.00 - $34.00 USD hourly
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
