What You Can Expect
As the Database Architect Senior in Houston, Texas for ENGIE FlexGen (Flexible Generation including Storage, Thermal, and Hydrogen) North America you will be the lead software developer focused on design, development and implementation of the database architecture for the central data repository. Within ENGIE’s dynamic environment, you will support the data modeling needs of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) analytics team. Every day, you will report to the Software Director of Engineering to assist with a wide range of software development activities and occasionally be the sole development resource on a project.
What You’ll Bring
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, engineering, mathematics, information technology, or related technical and or scientific field of study with a minimum of five (5) years of experience designing and implementing databases in a professional setting; in lieu of a degree seven (7) years of experience where you have gained an understanding of designing, and implementing applications and database solutions in professional setting
- Knowledgeable in scripting languages such as PERL, Python, R or similar language
- Understanding of software configuration management systems such as Git or Subversion
- Familiarity with MathWorks tools (e.g. MATLAB, Simulink, Coder, toolboxes, Designer) for modeling and simulation
Additional Details
- This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy; three (3) days in office
- Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license
- Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
- Occasional Travel may be required
Compensation
Salary Range: $112,000 – $172,500 USD annually
In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
